One of the nicest things about the Internet is it’s ability to be working for you 365 days a year, 7 days a week and 24 hours a day. This is true whether you have an e-commerce site or an informational site.

Once you have the site set up and you have optimized it for the search engines, you can have it work for you all the time, generating income even while you sleep.

Once you have it up and running with traffic getting to it, the next thing that you have to do is test it for conversion.

Some questions to consider when testing are:

1. Conversion Rate: Are you getting enough people to take action? Are you collecting enough emails or generating enough leads? What is your conversion rate?

2. Copy Writing: Is your copy creating the end result you are looking for? This almost goes with the questions above.

3. Are you getting enough clicks? If you are operating an Information site and using Adsense, are you getting enough clicks to the Adsense ads?

The more action you get the visitor to take at your site, the more effective you marketing results will be.

Make sure to test placement of email capture components.

Make sure to test the different ad placements on your Adsense ads, or any other contextual advertising you have on your site. Test the blending of the ads on your site, colors etc.

The key is to get the most from site, all the time. But you need to measure results, make changes and measure again. And then do it again.

This will increase your leverage, and when you wake up the next morning and find that you have made your days pay while you were sleeping, you will find it very gratifying.
