When you start working on your Internet Marketing efforts, the biggest part of your efforts should be in setting the automated processes that constantly communicates your value to your customers and intended customers constantly and in a manner to get the best conversion rates.

As in a previous post, the idea behind your marketing is to illicit a response from your intended audience.

You can do this using automated systems for email follow up. Aweber is my email system of choice, but there are many other systems that are available as well.

You can also tie in your shopping cart software into your email autoresponders as well.

Another automated process that can work for you is a referral or affiliate program to work through the networks of others. Many online marketers set affiliate programs to increase their exposure and  pay the referrer a commisson or fee if a transaction is made.

Once you set these systems up, then the real work begins.

You have to test your systems constantly making sure you are getting the best conversion from the traffic you do get to your site.

You need to test:

  1. The copy of your newsletter
  2. The components in your shopping cart, believe it or not most online sales are killed on the sales page.
  3. The the layout of your web page.

Marketing is all about testing and getting the highest results from the systems you have in place.

A final thought about systems, when you implement these systems, make sure they work without you having to be an integral part of the system. You want this system to work independently from you. 365 days a year, 7 days  a week, 24 hours a day.

I have systems set up  on a sites I forgot about still putting money in my bank account.  You can do it too.
