In any effective marketing campaign the goal should be to get your prospect into the sales cycle. The sales cycle being the process that leads your prospect from being a prospect to being a happy and loyal customer.

The following steps should be considered when setting up your marketing campaign:

1. Do you have a targeted market? Is the market your going after a good match with your product this is very important. This can also save you a lot of money.

2. Is the product you have to market solving a predominant problem for your market? Have you done enough research in your market to determine that there is a sufficient need for your product.

3. Do you have a follow up product to sell this customer after the initial product? I think network marketing companies have this down. They deal in consumable products. I think the saying goes, “If they don’t end up going in the drain or the toilet, then they don’t generally deal with the product.” They are looking consumable products. Products that people eat or use to clean with. Products that people want to use over and over again.

The idea is get your ideal customer in the sales funnel and continually have products to offer that continue to solve problems that the customer is facing.

This takes time and effort and whether you use the Internet, TV, Radio or newspapers, the end result should be the same.

You are going after lifetime customer value. This is the value of your customer over their lifetime.
