I have been studying marketing and advertising for several years now and I have come to the conclusion that there is no one media that will obsolete any other form of media.
The only one that comes close and it may happen is the newspaper. This is one media that I feel can become obsolete.With the newer forms of portable computer products, I feel that when the older generation starts to pass on newspapers will go with them.
Anyways… until that happens all the media you use must carry a congruent message. And this message should tie in as many forms of media that use.
If you use the newspaper, you should also direct your people to your website, which should have a way to capture information from the people who go to this web page. It can also be a way to see if your message is making people do what you want them to do.
Make sure to include your radio and TV message on your websites.

The key here is make sure that when you refer your potential customer to a web page that they are going down a congruent funnel that will ultimately lead to the sale of your product.
As people get more technologically savvy, this will be even more important.
We are only a few short years away from a television that also acts as web browser as well. When this happens it is important that you are there when it happens.
