Microsoft made a bid to buy Yahoo on Friday for about 44 billion dollars.
This my guess is to compete with Google, who is certainly the big fish in the pond of search engines right now.
So what does that mean to those trying to effective market on the Internet…
Nothing really and here’s why…
When you are constructing your site to service the customers, content is king! And when you have content that your customers are looking for then you will always be serve up by the search engines. No matter which search engine it is.
The search engine is set up to present to the visitors to their site the best sites for the term the visitor is looking for. They are also looking for frequent and up to date information on the subject being searched for. This is why blogging and Wiki are becoming very popular. Wiki and blogging are unique because they offer user input and commenting features that provide interactivity between you and the customer.
The point behind all this to provide content that your customers are looking for. This will make sure you always stay in favor with your customers and the search engines.
The search engines are always looking to improve search results so that people will come back to use them.
The more they come back the more advertising money they can demand and they also make money from pay per click advertising as well.
Keep yourself focus on the main thing and that is providing a great quality product and valuable content for your customers.
